<p>With one in four children overweight or obese, last year the Australian Government deemed obesity as a health priority along with heart disease and cancer.</p>
<p>Parents should be warned when their child become too overweight, but it is too late because children who are deemed an extreme case often have already developed adult diseases such as heart failure and diabetes.</p>
<p>Some parents are busy with other things and may be neglecting their child&#8217;s health, placing them at sever risk of death.  So taking those children away from their parents is to rescue them and save their lives.</p>
<p><strong>Preventing vs Rescuing</strong></p>
<p>However, that is not an ultimate solution to children&#8217;s obesity.  It would not stop so many children continues to put on weight or reverse the children&#8217;s weight gain.  Preventing obesity is much more significant than curing or rescuing it.</p>

<p>In the beginning of your fat loss journey, you must have a clear picture of your destination. That is the key to your success in your weight loss.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>Begin with the end in mind</strong></p></blockquote>
<p>First, to begin with the end in mind is to start with a clear understanding of your destination. By knowing where you&#8217;re going, you can better understand where you are now, and ensure that each step you take towards the right direction.</p>
<p>In your life journey, have you been asked what is your life purpose or mission, and what kind of person you want to be, also what you want to contribute to the world or what you want to achieve in your life?</p>
<p>In your fat loss journey, ask yourself what is your purpose to <strong><em>lose  body fat </em></strong>or what you want to achieve in your life by <strong><em>losing weight</em></strong>.</p>

<p>Finally, unless you have the desire to create an new habit it won&#8217;t be a habit in your life. It&#8217;s a change that has to be motivated by a higher purpose.</p>
<p>Many people think goal setting is the first thing to<strong><em> lose body fat</em></strong> but not what I suggest, because we need to look for the higher purpose first. With many people&#8217;s failure in<strong><em> losing weight</em></strong>, it has showed that a goal without motivation or purpose can hardly be achieved no matter how good the goal you set.</p>
